Restructuring & Insolvency

Large-cap corporate restructurings are technically and politically complex — they involve dozens of creditors with conflicting interests, assets spread across jurisdictions, investor pressure and the need to keep the business running while a plan is being negotiated. FIUS is a recognized player in that environment.

For debtors, we work from the early viability assessment through plan approval and execution monitoring. We build plans that balance what creditors need in order to approve with what the business needs in order to survive — which requires financial fluency alongside legal craft. In out-of-court workouts, we coordinate arrangements with selected creditors with less public exposure and greater speed.

For creditors — banks, funds, strategic suppliers — we participate in creditors' committee formation, scrutinize the proposed plan, negotiate differentiated terms and defend voting positions at general meetings. In bankruptcies, we handle proof of claim, fraudulent-transfer challenges and the maximization of recovery in liquidation proceedings.
