International work demands more than command of Brazilian law — it demands the ability to coordinate jurisdictions with sometimes conflicting agendas, and to build structures that withstand regulatory scrutiny across multiple countries at once. FIUS does this through its integration into the GLA (Global Legal Association) network, which connects us to leading firms in more than 60 countries.
We advise Brazilian companies expanding abroad on jurisdiction selection, offshore holding structures, cross-border tax planning and compliance with local regulation — particularly in the United States, Europe, Latin America and Africa. For foreign companies entering Brazil, we work in the opposite direction: opening up the Brazilian regulatory map, identifying compliance risks and structuring an efficient entry.
In international disputes, we act in arbitrations seated abroad, coordinate evidence-gathering across multiple jurisdictions and manage the interface with partner firms. Coordination is led directly by FIUS partners — not outsourced to an international desk disconnected from the client.
